Title: Fragmented Heart
Fandom: X-Note
Subject: Anon/Essi
Notes: Earlier this March, zeiva (who can also be found on deviantart), released a new game called X-Note. I've played free games by this person before, and enjoyed them. Compounding that with the fact that X-Note is a mystery/otome game, two genres I love more than anything, I decided to try out the demo. The beginning was a bit rushed, I admit, but it picked up fairly quickly, and by the time the demo ended, I was completely hooked. I bought the game immediately, and spent the next two days obsessively playing it.

It's a brilliant game, with complex and beautifully-developed characters, as well as an engrossing plot. I was immediately drawn to Anon, and by the time I finished with his storyline, that was that. I love Yuon and Oure as well, but they can't even come close to how wonderfully complex his character is, and his relationship with Essi is just amazing. Again, her relationship with the other two doesn't even come close.

Of course, all this fangirling had to have something come out of it, and this is the result. This is... a bit more angsty than I initially intended. But! That also led to me already beginning a more cheerful/romantic counterpart to this one, with the songs that just didn't fit this one. I've no idea when I'll be finishing that one, though.

This fanmix mainly deals with the events of Chapter Five and Chapter Six of Anon's path.

Title: You Beautiful Devil
Fandom: Bump Off Lover
Subject: Jia Wei
Notes: I initially ran across this drama over at rainscene. Although I don't really watch dramas, this one immediately caught my eye, so I downloaded it and immediately proceeded to procrastinate on watching it until a little over a week ago. The moment I started, however, I was completely hooked, and watched it nigh-obsessively until the end. A few hours after I finished watching it, a song that reminded me of Jia Wei popped up on the radio. I initially only meant to note it down for a possible future fanmix, but before I knew it I was racing through my playlist. It was from this series of events that this mix was born.

Ironically enough, this mix doesn't contain the song that inspired me to make it— I realized that a good majority of my songs were about his relationship with Yi Zhen, so I decided to split this mix into two: one about Jia Wei himself and one about his relationship with Yi Zhen. I included (VERY SPOILER-Y) quotes with each song— in fact, with a good chunk of them, I included more than one quote— that kind of summarize why I chose that particular song. Any and all additional comments are below those quotes.

Finally, don't even ask how long I worked on those covers. The back cover came out just as I wanted it on my first try, but I redid the front cover about fifty thousand times and I'm still not entirely satisfied. Yeah. Please comment if you download, especially if you're a fan of the series! I'm curious to know your thoughts.

Title: Won't You Dance With Me?
Fandom: Princess Debut
Subject: General Game
Notes: I first found Princess Debut earlier this year, on my birthday. The cover immediately caught my eye, and it only took a little convincing to make me buy it. I started playing it the same day— and fell heads over heels in love. So, when I started to obsessively make fanmixes this summer, it's only natural that I make one for this lovely game. It's rather lighthearted and fun game, and I admit that the characters are all based on clichés— but there's something about them that just grabs me anyways. This mix is split into three sections. There is one section for Sabrina, one for the princes, and one for the ending. I hope you all enjoy, and please comment if you download, especially if you're a fan of the game. It's always nice to meet fellow fans of something you really love! I'm a little giddy about finishing this, so the notes will be refined later.

Subject: Paul/Dawn
Notes: This pairing is seriously one of my favorite pairings ever. So, of course I was going to make a fanmix for them! This is pretty much entirely from Dawn's point of view, starting from when she first starts falling for him and continuing on chronologically from there. I'm a little iffy on some of the songs, especially Brand New Day, but whatever, it's done now.
